    Hey all,

I've bourght all the stuff to build a server, however when I went to buy a case It was VERY hard to find a case which would fit the rare EATX (extended atx) form factor. Anyway, I found one second hand but it is very old and tatty. I want to paint it black and give it a nice finish.

Some pics can be found here:

Anyway, I want to repaint it and do it up. So, I looked over the net for some tutorials on how to do this. I started off by following this tutorial:

However, many of the things he use's I couldnt find in halfords, homebase of B&Q (or at least not in my area). However, I got hold a mouse sander and some grey plastikote primer. I sanded it down to the metal and applied the primer with four coats.

The problem is, I cant find a decent paint to go onto it. He uses Plastikote, I couldnt find the exact same paint that he use's on the internet or in one of the local DIY stores. Would anyone suggest an alternative? Perhaps with a website like? I want to get this thing up and running so I can play with some linux & freebsd

Edit: Answers with products available to the UK plx.

Should be able to get paint to use from a car parts shop. Just ask somewhere there.
