    OFFICIALS IN PAKISTAN are seeking ways of blocking the flow of internet porn, seen as a "corrupt and evil" influence in the Islamic Republic.

    In the UAE, they have once single ISP.

    Since it is an islamic country, they also block porn.

    The software they use is quite effective. They block even racist stuff and other stuff like that and also warez sites :waah:. It was so hard do even get a crack for some software. Of course Kazaa and the like were around for that. But I preferred [some website] at that point.

    Even if a new website opens, after 2-3 visits, they block them too.

    They also blocked anonymous surfing sites so that the proxy could not be bypassed.

    So unless you knew quite a bit, it was very very difficult to get around this.



    Dunno how the system is in Pakistan, but if it was a single ISP, it can be done.

    Wow, i didn't know that... a single ISP could turn into such a great money-making deal, you could charge whatever you wanted for the internet and people would have to pay it :D

    They are slightly expensive compared to here and US, but they have very good service and for the Middle East Region, their prices are the best.

    So they dont misuse the monopoly they have. And they are always introducing new features, even if behind the US.
