Wil, did you write this late at night? First of all, when did BT get into high fashion? :) Second, minutest isn't even a word?!

Interesting looking bags, though...look kind of like every other bag I ever see. ;)

I don't think "minutest" is the superlative of minute... ;) Actually, I'm pretty sure it isn't. "more/most minute" would be grammatically correct...there's not a "minuter/minutest" ;)

    Hmm...
    AskOxford.com
I was about to agree with you there, Da Dego, but it looks like the bit-tech guys may be on to something.

As for the bag, I can't see anything particularly special about it. In fact, looks like every other bag out there. The only thing that distinguishes it from the rest of the pack is the use of so-called "high quality" materials, but doesn't every other bag company say the same thing.

On another note, what's with the trend recently to use materials "developed by NASA?" Beds have NASA foam, pillows have NASA foam. does a laptop bag really need NASA foam?

Hahaha...you're kidding... :) Wow. Dictionary.com says it's not a word. ;) Neither does MS word, but I never believe that one.

I stand corrected...but you have to admit, sounds weird. :worried:

And tupperware could technically say "uses technology developed by NASA." Because, technically, extruded plastic is. ;) New marketing campaign?

Touché Da Dego. However, Merriam-Webster says it is, too. After looking up "minute" in the Online Dictionary search bar:

    Entry #3, minute (adj):
    Main Entry: 3mi·nute
    Pronunciation: mI-'nüt, m&-, -'nyüt
    Function: adjective
    Inflected Form(s): mi·nut·er; -est

Just goes to show how many different forms the English language can take.

Hehe...yeah, I saw that. The funniest part? Dictionary.com is powered by Webster's unabridged. ;) And the big-arsed American Heritage dictionary doesn't have it, either! :)

    So it's a half-word, then...half the dictionaries have it. ;)

I think it's your imperfect american-english, not our gloriously proper oxford english that's the issue here ;)

hehe...you want my imperfect american dictionary shoved up your oxford arse? :D

We have turned this thread into something completely meaningless. ;) Oh, wait, it was about metro-messenger bags to start with (ahem, Wil). Nevermind, I dont feel so bad.

I was tought English-english, however I moved to US... NY, I was able to understand teachers.... but slang in the hallways was another language to me... Damn american-english... all the slang, different meaning of same words in different places... Wtf

anyways.. the bags look really nice. Not the ugly black, square laptop cases... I need a laptop first though...

    I think that's a great description! :hehe:

Darn Britons, with their tea and krumpets, and their perfect English. Perhaps we Americans could see the light, if only we had a proper torch ;)

P.S. And I agree about the bag colors. Earth tones are oh so nice.

Who cares about words? Let's focus on grammar:
Stick with one or the other. Both in there is confusing ;)

Actually, I completely agree. I'm a big fan of green tea, specifically. :thumb:

    So, the bags.

Much like any other sports bag around, with a little extra padding and double the price.
Won't be buying one anytime soon.
