anyone got the wiring diagram for Varitronix LCD MGLS12864T - 128 x 64 graphics - EL backlit - Toshiba T6963 chipset/driver - 8k ram - viewing area: 62mm x 44mm - PCB size: 78mm x 70mm (fits two 5.25" bays) - parallel connection he also gave me a little IC for input voltage or summat... wywywywy gave me some links, but i am afraid i have lost em... does anyone else have em?
That's the controller. Who made the LCD screen is not as important as who made the controller, as you need to figure out how to interface with the controller. The controller takes data (parallel in this case) and uses it to drive the LCD segments accordingly.
nah, the controller is on the back of the diaplay, there is another small chip that i was told was for input voltage.. http://www.linuxmod.co.uk/cam/lcd.jpg
The extra chip will be a DC-DC converter, as many graphic LCDs like yours require a relatively large negative voltage for the LCD drive. You should find a schematic on using that IC, and feed the output from it into the LCD drive on the LCD module via a 10k pot to adjust the contrast.
i am just trying to get an idea on how to wire it up, coz i want to sell it, as its surplus to requirements
