You are a brave man to work on that case. That is one of the legendary Soyo cases that cut me so many times, I quit metal cases entirely. The damn thing even sliced a wire and caught on fire. It was so bad I taped spare bandages to the bottom inside.
-I'm worried that you tested the pump dry. You could ruin it fast like that.

    Love that toolbox, BTW.:thumb:

    Thanks for the comment cheaps
The pump still seems to work with cooling fluid now, but the res is now leaking :wallbash:
The First case i tried to mod (at the beginning of this tread) was really hard to mod because of the thick metal compac used to build it. the second one was quite ok from the material thickness, but has the ackward side panel that i try to fix with bondo now. I have some more pics and the system is running again atm, but there is still mutch to do

    It's on again

After some time without usage the PC I finally managed to do some more work. Not many action pictures, because when I work with the cooling Loop I always miss a extra hand. First I disassembled the leaky resavoir:

    Dissasembled resavoir

The system was still filled during this operation

The part I tought failed and it's replacement

Later I found this: Seemed I tigtend the nut too much after the pump leakage :wallbash:

Couldn't really belive it an assembled everything again

It worked really fine during normal useage but after a gaming session it looked like this

Because I also have this goo in the cooling hoses I startet to disassemble the whole thing

Overview before disassemly with "emergency tray"

first the small Radiator came off, now it's time to test my "pull the whole filled loop out of the case system"

alle the other components are loose now

everything fitted trough this gap, with a bit of hassel

the whole loop seperated from the case

    packed together

electronic components (GPU and Laing) protected with plastic bags

Everything seperated from the case and in the bathtup

    that's why it's called bleeding :D

the gloves didn't work too well

    cpu and motherboard block

the passive cora rad with the Res during bleeding

bad pic, but it's all because of this part

all the parts on the washing machine

    goo in the CPU block

the plexi cpu top with it's goo

Post will be expanded as the Pics become upped

    XPC Res, needs Maintenance

    Hi Guys
    Another thread resurection

I need your Help: Does anyone have an Idea where to find a Replacement Plexi Button Part for a XPC Passive Res or even has one laying around?

    It looks like this:

    And normally fit right here:

Sadly the thing seems to be out of Production.
Only Option I found so far is ordering a similar bigger Res from France and only reusing the bottom part.
    Plesse help :worried:

I 'may' have one in my modding box, made a custom one for mine and kept the original. Ill have a look over the weekend.

If not, I'm sure some of the talented machinist's on this forum could help you out ;)
