Paste or Pads?

    Which should I use on my CPU, a thermal pad or thermal paste?

    According to the AMD website paste should only be used for temporary setups whereas pads are better when you don't intend to replace them anytime soon.

    Is it a case of AMD getting the facts wrong, or should I really use a pad?

    Seeing as you only require the very finest of layers, I would have to say paste.
