    From The Reg:

If you're as tired as we are of looking at the heavens with boggle-eyed disbelief that yet another half-wit has been taken to the cleaners by Nigerian advance fee fraudsters, then take heart at the following story.

It recounts how Clinton of Best Price Computers not only led the scamming ne'er-do-wells well and truly up the garden path, but also took them for £171. A modest amount, to be sure, but it's a start.

ROFL, I just read that over on El Reg, said to myself "that's pure class", then came here to see if you'd posted it already... and you had... and described it as "class". GMTA :thumb:

Brilliant story, I hope more people manage to scam the scammers. Serves them right!

I don't really get it. I never understood those "we'll give you 10% if you get our 15m out of Nigeria" things. I didn't think that replying to them would actually let you talk to a real person. How exactly is the scam supposed to work?

    Receiving a scam artist's spam-mail: mildly irritating.

    Responding with a few e-mails: a few cents/pence per e-mail.

Pretending to do business with them: one bounced cheque for £25.427,--

Scamming the scam artist out of £171,--: Priceless! :D
