Hi everyone So im planning a Scratch build for the future but Id quite like to build my PC inside a random object, I own a large Coke can (60/70cm high) and I may use that but I have many more ideas such as: Tool Box Microave Printer Treasure Chest Anyone else got any awesome ideas ? Thank you (Best idea gets a Cookie)
My housemate is actually planning that, or a mini chest freezer The biggest book I know of is a bible haha
Books are not a viable option tbh, unless you use something to drastically harden the paper area to allow drilling and what not.
Something I thought about myself the other week, until someone asked what about condensation. to which I didnt have an answer to? Not sure if that would be a problem or not ? I was looking at s/h wine cooler type fridge as they are slimish.
A human? How about a PC in a PC? Or a PC in a dolls house? The lights flashing inside could look epic. Or even better, that thunderbirds island set you can buy?
... inside a random object... i saw one who built a matx build behind a radiator in his living room. Flightcase / ammocase is a classic. What about a subwoofer enclosure or if its an itx build, the bottom of a floor lamp and then replace the build with a mini projector
Mineral submerged PC made into a coffee table! or think more of the l3p d3sk, but coffee table Cookie pls!
Haha a pc in a pc is funny but wouldn't really be able to see it, A doll house would rock because you could use LED's for different parts of the house. A subwoofer enclosure would look good, wouldn't vibrations be an issue in the long run? What about a mini fire heater and "let" the exhaust ports warm your toes? http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=fire+heater&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1920&bih=1075&tbm=isch&tbnid=glttXvfrQiNbzM:&imgrefurl=http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000W-ELECTRIC-BURNER-STYLE-STOVE-FIRE-HEATER-PORTABLE-/170566368206&docid=0_ugC5rdV2u_RM&imgurl=http://i.ebayimg.com/00/%2524(KGrHqMOKn!E1S8gw,(VBNmdgbygow~~_35.JPG&w=300&h=272&ei=BGKpTuDrF8-7hAeJqY3vDQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=562&sig=101844761726206081986&page=2&tbnh=135&tbnw=149&start=63&ndsp=61&ved=1t:429,r:18,s:63&tx=59&ty=81
That's a really bad idea unfortunately. Fridges and freezers are not designed to do away with as much heat as all the components require, especially not over a longer time.
He's planning a few serious mods to the compressor unit, just using the base unit of the freezer as its got amazing seals + air insulation all around it.
The giant cookie thing has potential. Just set it up on edge. Anything absurd and Dada will work. -probably why there have been so many toilet-PCs made... I've been thinking about sewing a bunch of old clothes together and bonding them with epoxy into a case. I think it would be a riot to collect panties and laminate(encrust) a case with them. ...The collection part would be tough if you are not a rock star. -Giant spam tin?
