Ok so i am making a custom computer and placing it in a case (not a computer case). So i dont have a power or reset switch that would normally be in a computer case.

So what i am wondering is, where can i find those two switches with the wires and connector for the connection to the motherboard. They also need to be mountable. Going to mount tham to a flat sheet of aluminum eventually.

Also any suggestions on how to mount leds. Plus where can i find the plastic connectors that are used for the pc power switch/leds/...

    Thanks
    Ken

First of all. WELCOME to BitTech

The type of switch you use is up to you. As long as it's a Momentary, Normally Off switch it will work, I'm currently using a momentary toggle swithc for my system(See Below). Your local electronics store should have a large selection of possible switches or you could get a fancy Vandal Switch like this one: http://www.svc.com/bulginsw-blu-24.html .

For your LEDs there are also endless possibilities, or you could just use one of these: http://mountainmods.com/product_info.php?products_id=156 .

Best place to find the required Motherboard connectors in in an old case. Never had to buy any but you might be able to find them somewhere. You'll need to look for 0.1" 2 or 3 way Header Plugs, or similar. Did a quick search and found these: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1490&TabID=1&source=17&WorldID=&doy=7m3

    Hope this helps :thumb:
