    Hello.
My friends pc runs windows xp, with a winfast motherboard.

Turn it on, winfast logo comes up, thats fine.
Then windows start page with the blue flashers going across, thats as normal.
But then, the windows page goes off, and the winfast page comes back on.
So its...winfast page~windows~winfast page~windows,, thats all it does, goes round in circles.

    Any ideas?

Broken Windows installation by the sound of it. See if it'll boot in safe mode by hitting F8 after the Winfast logo until a list of options comes up, then select safe mode.

If it boots into safe mode then start by disabling programs from starting up that aren't needed or could be causing the issue (anything recently installed before the problem started?).

What is probably easier is if it does boot into safe mode, pull any essential documents off and re-install Windows. You could spend hours troubleshooting and get nowhere when its just quicker to format and reinstall. If it doesn't boot and there are documents that are needed from it then pull the drive and plug it into another PC and do it that way.

Sounds like a broken or corrupt windows installation.

Prior to the boot issue had it applied any recent windows updates? Just wondering if one got corrupted on install..
