Just go into the BIOS and look at the CPU temps. That will tell you if the cpu cooler is at fault.

Definitely sounds like a heat issue to me - look in the BIOS or alternatively if it'll boot into windows try one of the usual cpu temp apps

Doesn't the H60 pump run off a fan header? Any decent monitoring software should be able to tell you the CPU temp and the pump speed.

Recently had H60 fail on me , same symptoms , pump was still giving a rpm signal out though
Feel the pipes coming out of cpu block , you will soon feel the heat if it has failed

    UPDATE guys
I started the pc, went into the bios, watched the cpu temp climb all the way to 88c....seems the H60 is a tad dodgy
    thank you guys ...

Try reseating it first and see if that helps - if not then new cooler time :thumb:

If you're passing Preston drop in and I'll fit your replacement cooler (if you buy one) with some thermal grizzly kryonaut for free bud :).

If you run the cooler without anything else you should be able to put your ear to it. The pump may have jammed. Now you can take them apart but it's messy, fiddly and you will need a res after you put it back together.
