9 Although this is naughty as it's pointless posts in an unrelated thread. This thread isn't for bashing a company like you did. Not really anyway. Dell are noobs... HA. and MSI can't make motherboards. Still can't believe this thread isn't STICKIED though ;P
please delete all my posts then? so your saying you your main pc is a dell, or family uses dell pcs actually you must be the guy in the dell pc advertisements omg thats you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLAcaz0LRvw msi are amazing what are you talking about bro
Included some relevant information about interest penalties enforced if a charge is disputed before the statement has been settled in full. Recently experienced this with a charge I disputed soon after making the purchase. It turns out that the credit card company can impose interest against you for the disputed amount and interest is accrued on a daily basis. I overturned this interest charge but it's an interesting bit of information and it would be advisable to pay the credit card statement in full before raising a Chargeback claim. This way you do not accrue interest since your money has already been handed over but you are still eligible for Chargeback for 120 days from the date of purchase.
Is there some issue with this being stickied even though it is something the community clearly wants?
Will be using this again tomorrow, AMD 955BE failed, only bought it in August ! Used with a standard cooler so no excuses.
Let us know how that goes. Always strikes me there is a presumption that CPU chips are bullet proof on part of the retailer. Just goes to show that even these can fail under normal conditions!
Useful thread. I'd bet that most of us don't know all our rights - I know some of my rights, but this thread taught me more! It didn't answer my question (see the thread I posted a few minutes ago), but it is an unusual situation. I think this post should be sticked, as it is already several pages into the forum section, and to really be useful it needs to remain visible so folk needing the advice it offers can easily find it (most won't even think to search for it if they have never seen it!).
If folks want it stickied, the simplest thing would be to report it saying as much or to PM a moderator. That's what I did (no love yet, though, maybe I don't swing enough weight around here).
Christ: This not stickied yet? Come on mods... sort it out. Good advice like this, while freely available on the net, is useful to have in one place for people like us who buy expensive stuff online regularly.
