I am trying to connect to computers together to transfer some files. I am running windows xp pro on both computers. I have an ethernet crossover cable and I pluged it into both computers. Now how do I transfer files from one computer to the other?

    Thanks in advance

Try this thread , it gives a nice, simple introduction to windows simple file sharing.

Check the IP addresses, as long as they are on the same subnet, the should be able to see each other. You can test that with the ping command.
