Is it plugged in? Has the fuse in the socket blown perhaps? Does it show any signs of life (internal LEDs and the like)?

Like tehBoris said, check the simple things first. Different socket, change the plug if you have another spare to try. Then take the side panel off the PC and check for signs of life when the PC is connected to the mains. Let us know what happens then we'll take it from there!

If no power at all (no leds coming on, no fans running) it could be the PSU thats died. I have seen that happen myself on a few computers where its fine one min and then you power off and it won't come on again

So, the power supply has power, does the motherboard show any signs of having power?

Perhaps some of the pins on the motherboard power cable arn't making contact properly. Do unplug it before you go poking them though won't you
