The gpu fan spins, the cpu fan spins. But the PG light on my PSU is red when I turn it on then it turns green. I can't see anything on my monitor either. And if I leave it it just shuts down.

Check all your PSU connections are secure.

Also what PSU are we talking about here?

Thermaltake toughpower xt 575w. Brand new. :( All my connections are secure. I think. I only have to cables going to the motherboard. A 4 pin and a 24 pin. But I think thats all of them. My motherboard is a Dell 0M017G

What new GPU have you bought?

You've got PSU cables going to that right?

    PROCESS OF ELIMINATION!

I presume you have the Dell 540 something something or whatever it was when I looked last night.

Try your old GPU with your new PSU.

In an ideal world you'd try your new GPU with your old PSU as well... If it had a 3650 it might have a PCI-E cable in it and you could use one of the 2 molex to PCI-E for the second. I'd be cautious about thismind because it's a Dell PSU, you know, from a dell.

Try your old GPU with your new PSU, if it doesn't work your PSU is knackered.

Okay. I'll try that later. :/ I'd be kinda pissed considering it's a brand new PSU

I've never had a faulty PSU from new... I guess it must happen from time to time.

Give it a whirl, report back and we'll go from there.

Are you absolutely sure all the cables are connected properly?

Umm. I think so. I have my HDD, GPU and two cables going to my motherboard. I'm not sure if there's anymore.

If all your cables are connected firmly and in the right place, it might be worth a shot unplugging everything from the board apart from the 4 and 24 pin connectors, one stick of memory and your GPU. This includes removing front panel headers.

See if it'll boot like that. If it does, swap memory sticks. Then have both/all memory sticks. The add hard drive.

If it doesn't work, remove GPU as well and try booting with just 1 stick of memory.

Edit: good thinking Zinfandel :thumb: pics would be good.

How do you get it to boot without using the button?

The pins where you connect your front panel.

Usually along the bottom of the mobo. Normally in a row of 4 and 5 below.

They differe from MB to MB though. Where are you connecting your power switch to?

Photos. And I tried going down to one stick of ram, 24 + 4 and gpu, but it still didn't work. I'm beginning to think it's my PSU or mobo :( Good thing I bought scan sure ;D
