I have been given £250 for *********, and basically I want a new PC.

I have monitor's, peripherals, HDD and Video Card.

All I would nead is Mobo, CPU, PSU and RAM.

Also a cheap case, but I might just beg for one :p

If anyone can post me up a good spec I would appreciate it.

Also if anyone has any second hand parts they would let go for a fair price it would mean alot to me.

    My current system is

    P4 1.8GHZ
    256 RDRAM
    9800 Pro (bringing across)
    80GB HDD (bringing across)

I will most likely find another HDD down the line aswell.

    Cheers peeps

Overclocking or not? If not, then get some value ram from Corsair or Crucial. 1gb is more than enough in most cases still, but if you feel the need go for 2gb. Though i wouldn't bother yet.

Since your sticking with AGP for now, i'd suggest the Asrock DualSATA2, worst name ever. But it has both AGP and PCI-e slots, so its fine for that upgrade in a few months.
    Also has 939.

CPU wise, go for an Opty 144, or Venice 3200.

PSU, your probs better saving some, and going second hand on this, since PSUs are rather pricey new. However, aim for units from Hiper/Tagan/Antec/Enermax etc.
I can personally recommend the Hiper units. The Type R is good value, and isn't too pricey.

Looking at a smidge over 250 there maybe, but thats with new prices. (and without delivery, And working it out roughly in my head! :p)
Second hand aswell and you'd have no probs :D

Tagan PSU's are cheap and awesome PSU's, grab yourself a TG480-UO1, it got awesome reviews and is plenty of power for your system. Case wise go for something long lasting and robust, well made cases from people like Lian Li are good, maybe a PC-60 or something? Thermaltake cases are great also though.

Seconded :). I have the 480W model and it's damn good. You could get away with a 330W though if your budget is £250 - you won't be able to get a system that needs more for that money. If you want some headroom for future upgrades, a 420W would probably be more appropriate.
