PC2700 + ic7-max3

    Hey guys,

    just a quick question.

    Will kingston pc2700 ram run on an abit ic7-max motherboard?

    my mates got one and isnt sure if it'll work with his current ram.

    yep, but if hes got a P4 "C" (northwood) then you better get some PC3200 :)
    if his got a "B" then he'll be fine with pc2100 or pc2700 in his system :thumb:

    he's got a 3ghz prescott. So will it still be ok?

    it will still work, but if hes already running pc3200, then they will both drop to the slower speed (pc2700 in this case). I'd recommend getting pc3200, though.

    great, thanks.

    He just got all his new system parts and was wanting to use his current ram at the moment.
