    hello
im in the process of making a re-wireable d-sub connector, so that i can connect a cable to a connector using screw-in terminal blocks.
i've got the relevant connectors and a stripboard along with a 37way terminator block for PCB's that can be cut to length.
now the prolem im having is that if i mount the dsub at one end of the board and have wires going to each relevant strip to each terminator block point, the block can get a little wide at one end. around 12cm wide to be a little more precise. this is NOT what i need.
now, is there any way, through making/breaking tracks, making wire links that i can make a slightly more compact re-wireable connector?
    thank you!

How do you get 120mm? 37 tracks would be about 97mm.

    well 10cm!!thats still too wide.
ideally i dont want it too much wider than the actual plug itself.
i've managed to figure one way out, whereby i use a helluva lotta wire links to connect the plug to the connector.seems like thats the best way.
thanx anyhoo...bt...are there any programs out there that you can make a pcb or a stripboard on and 'mount' the components onto it and it tells u weather or not its gna work?
