    so, odd situation here.

I have some old IDE drives, and a new motherboard; the ASUS P6X58D-E and it has no IDE slots onboard whatsoever.

I've been searching for some IDE controller cards, but they all seem to be PCI, and I have no slots left (the one not occupied by the graphics cooler is filled with a soundcard), leaving me with just various flavors of PCI express left.

I'm out of ideas, maybe some of you have started to run into the same sorts of things and found a solution?

never attempted to deal with scan before, as I've usually been able to find parts in the USA, do they ship overseas or should I just keep looking?

thanks. Figures they'd hide it somewhere other than where every other storage controller is....
