News PCIe power cable hiders help tidy up your PC build

I've considered them when I was browsing Aliexpress a few months back. There is a lot of similar things on there. You can get 90 degree motherboard connectors, also 90 degree USB 3 connector.

One question I had was that, how much does the connector affect power delivery? High current burns most often happen at connectors, does increasing number of connector for aesthetics going to affect anything that actually matters?

these doohickeys have been about for some time now. I am surprised you don't see them more often in ITX rigs, especially with all these tiny cases turning up over the last couple of years, I guess they are not exactly pretty lol but suppose they help the bog standard pc maker get better cable runs and keep cables off snug side panels

 

Seems a bit pointless since ultimately you'll still have visible (even if less so) cables.

What would really solve the problem would be integrating a 90 degree connector and cable canal into a anti sag stand between the PSU shroud and GPU...

 

What would really solve the problem is if VGAs and the ATX standard were completely different to how they are, because none of it makes sense any more. It's all evolved one layer at a time and now we have huge, heavy cards that sag downwards, their most visually appealing face pointing straight down, their power connectors pointing straight at the window and their output connectors rotated 90 degrees to all the other rear IO.

All these riser cables and right angle cables are just duct tape on the ceiling, someone needs to fix the roof sooner or later.

 

Mine are well hidden in my closed case, simples, who needs to look inside at static PC hardware, it's not like it does anything????

 

didn't some on the forums make these for thier 980 sli cards years ago? i seem to recall he 3d printers alot of bits to build a super clean build. cant remeber the name but it was all white with all the wires hidden

 

A "little" known PC accessories maker by the name of EVGA also made similar many years back, albeit went right angles to the side of the card, rather than down the back.
