Heh, heh take a look at the pics. This was amassed in the space of a month and a half My simple filter grill housing MOD definitely makes a difference. It also allows me to mount a neon in the front grill too. http://mysite.freeserve.com/pic_hoster/dusty1.jpg http://mysite.freeserve.com/pic_hoster/dusty2.jpg
Well I see the front bezel is on a hinge... Did you do that? Or does the case come with that? Otherwise all I see is a dirty filter as well..... *looks at front grill* Mine could use some cleaning too.........
Come on, I've never known bit-tech members to be lazy or miss the minor details - you guys have always been very astute. Look at the second picture for the mod. Really, it's nothing super l33t or anything, but it works. I'll point it out if no one else does
You swapped out the stock LEDs for yellow and red ones? That's yellow isn't it.... ? Kinda hard to tell in the pic...
Well done on spotting the yellow and red leds - I forgot about that. The case is a PC-7 rev2 thats comes with a lovely drilled alluminium filter housing. Thats not there anymore cos there was as much material in the way of the filter as there was drilled out. That filter housing you see in the pic is homemade so the filter is completely exposed - hence so much dust. Also, look at the top right hand corner of the filter housing. A section is cut away so the inverter for my neon will fit with the bezel is in place. Notice the black wire trailing from the 3.5 bay? Thats is the power lead to the neon inverter. You might also notice a foil reflector strip I put in to bounce the neon light arround the front grill. You guys see it now? Like I said, nothing great but certainly functional and a recommended mod.
On my Lian Li pc-70usb, the front intake filter looks exactly like yours, except mine is that ugly bird**** beige color. Hence why I never picked up on it.
I was doing some decorating in my bedroom today which involved sanding down my window sill which is painted in a nice bright yellow i had my computer on of course with the tunies playing out loudly and now the inside of my computer has a nice dusting of yellow. All the fans are now yellow as well as my graphics card
