Modding peltier and psu

    Was wondering if I would need an additional psu to power an 80W peltier.

    Its spelt Peltier and pronounced Pelt-e-eh. They are a Thermo electric cooling element that basically operate at high power and extract heat from one side of the plate to the other, making one side hugely cold, minus temps are common, and the other side very hot around 70-80°C. Very good cooling elements to combine with water cooling.

    Yes, get another seperate 12v only 80-100w psu, to be safe. i doubt the 12v rail of your psu can handel the 200w or so that will eb nedesd to power the whole system
