    Hi Everyone,
First post here. Anyway, i want to make a Peltier Cooler Beer Cooler like this one. Thing is, I want to make is original so i need to know whether it is possible to make a base station which has the power connection on it so that i can drop the cooler in to charge the batteries and take it out to use? How would i do this?
    Thanks
    Amit

what is the purpose of the batteries? if you want to build a docking station type thing for this, you would need to make a holder that the cooler fit in, and then it would need contacts on both the docking station and the cooler, so when the cooler sat in it the contacts would touch and power could be supplied.

edit: just read the last page and see that the batteries provide temporary freedom from being plugged in.

Though with a 118W peltier, maybe momentary would be a better word... :eeek:

I would make one that would run off a usb port so that I could keep my beer cold while using the computer.

Well if you used a 7Ah lead-acid battery, through an 118W peltier you'd get 40 minutes of power, but that's a BIG peltier just to keep beer cold

And carrying all that weight around, you'll really need a nice cold beer.
