hehehe, on a Nova? Any performance tyre should suffice!.. :)

Personal preference though, I had Bridgestone Potenza GIII's on the Evo IV, now running GT Radial 328's (215-45-17) and can say both are more than sufficent for all year road use.. On the track is a different story though!

There's like, 4 or 5 recommendations in the thread. Toyos don't seem to last that long though.

what size tyres do you need? (its printed on the sidewall)

Yes they did, you were recomended to get Goodyear Eagles F1 or Toyo Proxies, both are performance tyres with excellent wet grip, although the Toyo's do wear out quicker.

I recently got a set of Kleber Hyraxers, they are made by Michelin.
I needed a set of tyres quick for my MOT, went in to buy some Toyo Proxies, but they were out of stock, so got a set of these.

They are fantastic in the wet, directional V treaded tyres, and are pretty awesome in the dry too.
So far there seems to be very little wear.

I would say if you live in the UK make sure you buy good wet weather tyres, as the difference in the dry is minimal between pretty much all tyres.
Where you notice the difference is in the wet.

Only 2 types of tyre I'd use these days.

    Price not an issue choice...
Choice 1: Yokohama Parada Spec 2
    Choice 2: Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3

These choices assume the fact that the Paradas will last about 8000 miles on a fast car if you're lucky... which is why I went for the GS-D3s... well, that and the fact that the Paradas are pretty hard to get hold of sometimes.

Both tyres grip like a ******* in the dry. I've no interest in wet weather performance really.. I don't drive fast in the wet. Apparently tho, theGS-D3 is the best wet performer.

I can't decide on looks. The asymetric design of the Parada is extremely cool, but the Eagles look EVIL.

The Eagles produce more noise tho, but grip in the dry is on a par with the Yokohamas, and better rim protectors, lower price, and better availability, AND better wear swung it for me.

The real world choice would be the opposite... F1 GS-D3 first, then Paradas.

They're the only two tyres that exist so far as I'm concerned. I've Actually tried the rest, and nothing comes close to these two. Pretty much everything mentioned in this thread I've used in teh past 2 years. I'm pretty anal about tyres :hehe:

I think not. Dunlop SP2000s are utter crap. Pirelli P-Zero.... utter crap... Firestone Firehawks... UNBELEIVABLY crap.. and I'm talking all dry performance here. Some tyres are just ... crap. Dry performance varies wildly. If you've not noticed yet, you're just not trying hard enough :hehe:

Um...I'd put performance tires on this, what are you smoking?

*edit* Oops, my American flag is showing, you've got a different Nova over there. My bad.

I have P-Zeros on my car at the moment, but everyone says they aren't too good in the wet so I drive fairly slowly when it is. I'll be getting some Yokohama Advans when these wear out though, provided I can afford it!

Im currently running on Uniroyal Rainsports which i find pretty grippy, good tyre for the money. Can't stand proxies, seriously ugly sidewalls!

I just got Toyo Proxie T1-Rs all round on my feestie ST.
I wore out my P-Zeros that came with the car new in about 8600 miles!

So far these Toyos seem pretty grippy but not had a good downpour here lately to test them in the wet.
