This could be made of pure gold and I would still refuse to pay the 33% US D ollar - UK Pound mark up.
USD price doesn't include sales tax (as that varies by state).
$200 at todays rate £153.07
153.07 + 20% VAT = £183.68
So it is only approx 14.5% UK robbery
That said, it is currently £75 more than the "old" Evolv... so not exactly a sensible price either way.
nice review. I believe however the screws to hold the tempered side panels are there should you need to secure them while moving the case. You don't need to use them in regular day to day usage.
Don't forget that the US price does NOT include tax, either. So add another $20 or so on to the price.
It's about double the price I'd be prepared to pay for it.
I've got this case and love it,far better than the older model the cooling and cable management are excellent, not to keen on the built in fan hub as I've had problems with it so I've had to work around it to get the fans running how I want them,on air cooling for the moment as I'm buying my watercooling bits on the fly,but I need to save up for a better videocard and will be buying the cable riser and fit it vertical.
It's a nice case but is twice the price of the Enthoo Pro M I bought recently. Not sure it can quite justify that hike.
I had no case for almost a year, did have the corsair 570x but the build quality on it was horrible and very cramped.
Saved up a few penny's and fell in love with the new evolv x.
