I remember seeing a video from a press release for that console and the bloke was trying to run all the videos in powerpoint and wondering why he was getting 5 fps. Anyone else see that?
If I'm wrong then I will admit it but it does seem the computer press have the idea that there will be hardly any games for it if it gets released as it doesn't the pulling power as mircosoft or sony.
it might be worth buying one to rip apart for bits tbh, $199 for a 2500+ some ram a 40gb hdd etc... edit: might be useful as a htpc of sorts? also, comparing the processor speed to that of an average games console it really is quite powerful
It's quite possible, as with the XBOX, that most of the components are embedded in the motherboard. As such, you will most probably only be able to salvage the hard drive. 8-ball
still, the xbox is known to be very good media player, with the sound quality surpassing that of mid-range seperates apparently. as soon as a way to mod this thing is found it may end up being quite useful.

That's not a release, that's an arcticle on it. Actually, Infinium labs, the maker of the console, is suing them for that very article.
this has been floating around for a while the console will never be relesed, was probly scraped a long time ago and they didnt want the emabrisment of going back on thier statments, its already outdated. it relay is a phantom box
Yea, i can see by the way the article sounds that they would get pissed off, but if its FACTS then they have no more right to sue than subjects of documentary makers.
i read something about the pricing of the console and games.you subcribe to the service(you get the console free)for $30 or something about that figure THEN you have to pay full price for any games you want to play.then if you stop paying the subcription they tell the console not to play any of the games.correct me if i'm wrong but that seems like the biggest scam ever(ok second biggest, XP was £150 on release).
