    Thanks guys!

Another small update: Today I was cleaning few things for final fold.

I added some velcro tape under the radiator to keep him steady, also same strips on bottom of rad.

And here's how its sitting... waiting for his juice:)

Here you can see how small is that gap between radiator and PSU hole. About 5mm. However I decided to use pull configuration of fans so believe that pulling air will be easier for fans through entire surface of rad then trying suck some air from 5mm gap... Plus I can count on space between radiators chassis and actual fins, which is another 3-5mm..
    So should be fine:)

Now last thing - I can brag a bit showing my two 5mm red leds soldered and sleeved, ready for my XSPC res/top. Originally res comes with one blue led, but I needed two red ones so made it myself.. looks sooooo cool.. take a look:)

...and heres mounted in res/top.. night photo:)

Thats all for now... going to bed... :p

    It's FANTASTIC!!!!
The rad mount is amazing, but this touch of light is fantastic!

    Thank you all !!! :)

This XSPC res/top has two holes in one of its walls. Originally it comes with one blue led, but I made my own two red leds. Those holes are made for 5mm leds, so basically I just pushed them inside and they stay there firmly...
Believe me or not but it took me almost 2 hours to produce this small little of cable with two leds:) I dont know.. I just wanted it to be perfect:) A lot of solder, heatshrinks and nice black braid...

Wait, I take that back, it already looks fantastic! most ppl would leave the case as is lol.....:dremel:
Keep up the excellent work Phinix, can't wait for the final pictures!

Yep.. I was worried if it all fit ok, but there is enough space for all pieces

Thanks man! I like all those small things added, like leds - they give a nie touch to everything:)

Yes, using those gloves cause I cleaned all acrylic parts and don't want leave finger prints on anything.. at least for the beginning;)
Hopefully I will close the case next week (chociaz jakos tego nie widze;))

OK, this is pretty simple Paint drawing of the LED power box:)

Basically, there are 4 groups of led lights I'm using in Cube: 6-led front ring, 8-led (2x4) biohazard-light group, 12-led top light group and 16-led bottom-case group.
They all will be able to unplug using standard 3-pin fan plug. As you can see 4 3pin sockets will be soldered together to one 4pin molex socket which will get power from one 4pin PSU molex cable.
Now, I'm not an electronics expert, so please let me know if I'm doing sth wrong here. Will this be ok to power all those leds from one 12V PSU plug?

Smacks of dimness of the LEDa at first glance. That being said:

Assumption 1:They are all parallel circuits for the LEDs so 12V is OK?

One will be bright, 2 somewhat less on both, 3 less on both, etc.

Now it depends on the rail current for the chosen 12V Molex. Is it dedicated?

We need cpemma but it looks to me like too many.

    Here's my PSU spec: http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Power/ToughPower/W0131/w0131.asp

Would it help if I use separated 2 cables for those leds?

Please do that for me, thanks. I just don't want to burn my new PSU by plugging too much stuff..:sigh: I have no idea what kind of influence this amount of leds can have on PSU.
Looks like one of the rails in dedicated for HDD/FDD cables, so I will only plug my SSD, slim dvd, pump and those leds to it.. would this be ok?

    Not a problem.

For the LED groups (with 2.0-2.2V reds on 12V) I'd use
    • 6 - 2 strings x 3 LEDs
    • 8 - 2 strings x 4 LEDs
    • 12 - 3 strings x 4 LEDs
    • 16 - 4 strings x 4 LEDs
11 strings in all, say 25mA in each for only 275mA (about 1/4A) total, and unless you want the LEDs to be painfully bright you can knock the current down to about 5mA per string for only 55mA total draw.

See linear's wizard for resistor values if you can't do it in your head. ;)

Thanks for explaining it to me:) I'm totally green when it comes to electronics..

Well, all leds are already soldered with specific resistors, I believe +/- I used 11, maybe 12 strings, used that calculator to choose resistors. I always used these options: 12V voltage, 2V each led, 20mA for led. So I should count 20mA per string? So even if that will be 300mA, I'm still ok right? In PSU spec it is said that each 12V rail (whatever it goes to, gpus, or hdd) have 18 or 30A, so it is still fine right? What is that minimum load? It is said it has to be 1A on each rail... I can plug those leds with my SSD, dvd and pump, I'm sure all them will have more than 1A, is that correct?
Now, silly question: ampers, in linear you don't add then, just take highest value, but in parallel you summurise them, right? :sigh::duh:
