No, but you dont live here either - everything your politicians do affects us, in contrast to Bush, Clinton wasnt that bad so i was assuming she would be similar to her husband.

Actually, you're probably right. As far as foreign policy, she would fit the bill for you all, all-be-it she would be a serious pacifist. As far as domestic policy... It scares me to event think about it.

Back to the point ;) Bear in mind we're all running PC's perfectly capable of running all the software we need at the moment and I don't see why anyone is suddenly going to release software which will make me more productive.

If you want to fight against it, just keep your PC.

true, but there are enough users out there that dont know anything about pc's that would buy them because they dont know any better. And there are enough of them to make TC dominant, i'd probably end up with 2 pcs, one with tc, and one without. Either way, the system will eventually be broken to one extent or another.

True, but a simple legislation getting passed to ban current computer technology in favor of TCG compliant equipment. Bush has the works on bannign gay marriages, what's to stop the TCG leader from rallying enough support for "security" to pass such a law?

Privacy and actual security (not just what the powers say is secure) are becoming figments of imagination.

i bet within a month of its release someone will have figured out which pins to jump to turn the whole F**king thing off :)

Is this legal? Seriously, if there was ever a company taking advantage of a monopoly, this is it.

This is some scary ****. Here in regional Australia most people think that TCPA is some sort of nut-case conspiricy theory, and the rest either don't understand what it means or just don't care. Quite depressing, but I'm sure there will be some sort of "fix", even if it means breaking a few (more?) laws. Thank God for nerds/geeks/smart people who aren't evil.
