PBear23 - Stunning! Absolutely stunning. Another of my live shots from last weekend's show: Burlesque - Duke's last gig! Duke Wayward by Stagezero Photography, on Flickr
I don't mind at all. One thing I've learned from this: some folks are sensitized to noise, and some, like me, hardly notice it. When I look at the picture just to see the picture, I'm not distracted by noise. Oh, I suppose there'd be exceptions, but mostly I see the colors, composition, and what's in focus and what isn't. When I look for noise, it can suddenly jump out at me the way on optical illusion flips back and forth. Especially with objects such as flowers I expect, when really zoomed in, that they will have fuzz, maybe some blotchiness, and the like. They probably should not have flour granules scattered around, unless perhaps it's pollen. Anyway, in the future I'll try to be much more careful about noise.
I went to Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, the posh part of town on Friday. Got some stuff that I'm pretty pleased with. Will post more as I find time. For now, cars... (Aston Martin DB9) (RR Drophead) ...and a fountain! (click for big)
I know this is a photo thread, but since there aren't any rules or whatnot, how about a quick video I shot yesterday at a friends' flat? It was with the SLR at least Watch on Vimeo
…and a quick couple of snaps of Elvis too. I was pretty impressed by the performance at ISO3200, just a bit disappointed I didn't get the focus on his eye in the first one. Elvis by jaikdean, on Flickr Elvis 2 by jaikdean, on Flickr
The video was pretty good. The first pic is nice too Here's more from Beverly Hills. Ferrari California: Paley Center for Media: A tower-ish thing on the roof of a posh store: (click for big)
I like the middle one, although I reckon rotating it slightly so the lines are straight would help an awful lot.
