Really nice captures - so simple but so effective. I wish I had that kind of subject matter for my Siggy macro!!
Pics or it didn't happen I really like the LFA, pity I haven't seen one in the metal around here (yet). Awesome - really liked the eye and the mantis.

I dont claim to be much of a photographer but i think these 7 of my little girl are my best ones - yes I probably is biast!!
That's a lovely shot Silver. Now I'm really sad, but that said love the blue vs yellow. The only thing that in my mind I would have changed when shooting it, is either go higher (if possible) or lower, so the main subject (bale) would break the horizon line thus making the lines a lot more dynamic. I'm just sharing what I've been told/learned about composition, I am bothering cause I really like this shot
I think it's also a bit too close to the tree... there's not enough breathing room for either object and, I find my eye doesn't move from those two objects. What it really needs is a third element that the eye can get to in order to add a bit of tension.
A step to the right and some more bales. TBH, I always struggle with composition, so noted for next time. I'd been trying to get a wheat field shot all summer. It was this thing I had to do, but couldn't find the right place with the right look. Happened to be staring absently out the living room window the other day while files were transferring from old hard drive to new and the penny kind of dropped. I was looking directly at straw bales in the fields on the hill opposite with dark clouds overhead.

Time_To_Go_Pano by silverfish51, on Flickr IMGP8674 by silverfish51, on Flickr Not so happy with the pan, imo it's too wide. It started to rain by the time I got to the hut, from there I legged it.
@Silver - the left side of the pano's absolutely gorgeous, tad much overblown on the right for my liking. Bit of a crop in might do it wonders, although it is nice to have the kite in there... 2nd one's just lovely!
Light's been crappy except when I'm in work lately... Still, tripods are fun odyssey rear 2 by jpb814, on Flickr Unfortunately that light sticking up out of frame ruins it slightly...and I just noticed it
