I tried to straighten it in the PhotoShop app on my phone, but everything went pixelated :(

Pretty crappy to be honest. Canon 55-250mm moon shot. No tripod. I only took a couple of photos today, so this was my best lol.

We had a rather impromptu BBQ down at Southsea Common:

Tried my hand at night-time/sunrise photography the other day. Sat there for hours waiting for the sun to come up but the was a heavy cloud on the horizon, eventually it came up!

Nice! I love the last three, especially the second to last one.
    Settings and lens?

I like this photo. There is a wonderful quality in the way the leaves are backlit, and the overlapping leaves create an interesting pattern. I also like the texture created by the leaves' veins. The subtle spider silk in the bottom-right is a nice touch.

I was using Canon 500D and the standard 18-55mm lens, settings were, ISO100, F/9.0 and 1/400 or something close too!
    Glad you liked them! :thumb:

Still working on my end of year portfolio, and this is the best shot I took today:

We spent the day at my parents' house. I like visiting their house because their backyard is very lush. I spent over an hour sitting in one spot, watching the various species of birds fly around. Of course, I still saw fewer birds than squirrels, but that's life in suburbia. The best part was the adult red-bellied woodpecker who kept visiting the feeder, then flying over to a nearby tree to feed some juvenile woodpeckers.

A common eastern gray squirrel, proving that there is no such thing as "squirrel-proof."

There's more on my Flickr, if you like looking at pictures of squirrels. :)

I like this, it's got an almost cityscape quality to it.

Just what I was thinking. In fact maybe if you cut off where you can see the wall/room it would look even more like a city scape, might be really cool?

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

It's a picture of one of my models for my current uni project. It's a site model of Hull, with laser engraved acrylic showing the locations of listed buildings suspended over an earial photo (there's rusted steel in there as well, but difficult to see). There are also cut's to show my path through the city, and the flags correspond to the photo's I took along the way. I think the entire model measures roughly 1m x 1m, split into 4 separate pieces.

I'd like to spend more time on these photo's, but I've simply ran out of time. My portfolio's due in tomorrow, so everything's being done in a massive rush, hence me not deleting the background (2 sheets of a3 paper).

    Thanks again.

Edit. Oops misunderstood you Threefingeremini, you meant simply crop the top of the picture. Might be worth a try, thanks.

CMW - Love the droplets. The texture of leaves at this scale always fascinates me.
