A picture of mine from today: It's the edge of a CD and it's reflection Nikon D90 + reversed Canon FD 50mm f1.8 + 11cm of yellow card, black cloth and paper clips. 1/160th, f/1.8, iso 800
Have locked the other POTD thread, hopefully just having one will mean it gets a bit of momentum. I'll add one of my own, too Taken in Hong Kong last month on my sabbatical; it's an iPhone shot, but I managed to get it looked half-decent with some neat processing apps.
From the roof of our office the other afternoon/evening. No filtration, etc... manual exposure at 40mm 1/100th F/10 ISO400
I seem to have left my camera at home, so I'll post an old-ish one from my Photobuket that has yet to see the light of day. View from my office a couple months back, no PS, straight off the camera into PB.
I really wanted to submit something to this a bit ago, but I only have a Canon Finepix A330: about 5 years old, 3.2Mp, compact. I also had nothing to photograph. So I set myself a challenge: can I take a photo worth uploading using only this P.o.S. camera and what's on my desk? Measuring wisdom by probability of success, this turned out to be a reasonable idea. Measuring wisdom by time consumption, this was a stupid idea. Took me 2 and a half hours. Am now very hungry and bleary-eyed Result: Edit - used paint to clean up the dust; original image before cleaning. edit edit: further cleaned and cropped it.
Oh my God, please tell me you have jellyfish as pets. edit - second submission: Actually from a while ago, but I don't have many good photos.
a lamp I made out of rattan. Not really a recent shot, though. I took this (and made it) 2 years ago. would make a better picture with the guitar on the right erased, but what the heck.
