That's very interesting There's something about foreign places that I find really compelling photographically. It's like I'm unable to see anything interesting around home, but I feel like I would really have fun in an unfamiliar place. There's a chap on Flickr posting amazing seaside long exposures from Oz, and while he and I have really different styles, I look at his pictures and see elements of the scenery that I would kill to be around. Can't wait to start traveling again. No, I only call you Jeremy... like your mum does EDIT: Photos... I know that feeling. You can always pretend to be a tourist at home. Dress inappropriately, shout at the locals and visit touristy areas with benefit of local knowledge and the ability to choose the right light.

Thanks everyone, I'm blushing. Let's just say I was learning few things on computer and I kind of screwed up... Do you think it ruins the shot Pookey? I noticed my mistake after I already uploaded to flickr/flattened the file. What do you guys think? Oh so today I went to "Kings Park Psychiatric Center" It has been closed since 1996 after a 111 year run. During the mid 50s it had over 9000 patients. From growing most of their own food, pumping water, growing cattle for food/milk to having their own mini power plant, police, fire mechanics it was a city on it's own. Now as demolition begins in 2012 this once 150+ building center might soon be just history. So I went there to check it out while I still had a chance. Those last two are a little disconcerting, I like them but a little too close to horror movie for my nervous disposition. I took this the other night from Arthurs seat, Edinburgh Castle all light up for the Tattoo. Cheers, when I was setting up I could see a large cloud mass rolling along the horizon, I was just willing it to get dark before the rain hit, The heavens opened about 5 minutes after I got back to the car. This one has less could and more sky I actually thing a little cloud helps it. DSC_2703 by steveo_mcg, on Flickr
IMGP4343 by silverfish51, on Flickr Anyone else excited to see what Pentax are bringing out at Photokina this year? No? Huh, just me then. I'm hoping they announce the 24mp APS-C K3 this year; it'd be a nice step up from the K-x.
