I'm not a huge fan of selective color, but a shot like this reminds me of why people probably started doing it before it was abused. Nice.
I like the first shot eddie_dane, but the dude's suit fit is killing me Fernando Alonso, Ferrari F2012 by angad84, on Flickr Jenson Button, McLaren MP4-27 by angad84, on Flickr
Thought you'd like to know this is currently a 1m print adorning the wall of a lady friend of mine whom has a PhD in something or other to do with European Grey Wolves (I didn't pay attention)...suffice to say she was very chuffed with it and my inability to pay attention will be circumvented by this picture for months to come. I'll snap a pic when I'm next there! EDIT: of the wolves on the wall...nothing else...mind from gutter people.
Cheers for the kind feedback guys - I'm really happy with the shots myself, but its always nice to know others like them too. It's likely as a result of the white balance changes I made to get the conversion to black and white looking how I wanted. I could have done some local editing to get the light looking a bit more green, but I just ended up liking how it came out - i think it gives the image a cooler tone, which is about right as it was frigging freezing out that evening.
@Material: I guess I should use a tripod too, really nice shots there. @Whisperwolf: WOW what a shot of the wolfs! Where did you get that? Ran out of space on my computer again, so bought another HDD and while copying stuff found this shot from 2011. I can't believe I've skipped over it before: Layers of the Catskills by Neo - nimajus, on Flickr Here's one just shot with a point n shoot right after leaving JFK (before Hurricane Sandy) Coney Island from above by Neo - nimajus, on Flickr And this one is one of more interesting characters I found in Museum of Modern Art. I was peeking at his sketch and WOW what beautiful sketches he was drawing. Though his outfit makes him look as if he traveled back in time from Czar Russia. This photo is one of the reasons why it's difficult to imagine leaving NY to live somewhere else. A Renaissance Man by Neo - nimajus, on Flickr
Anyone noticed the new video on the Flickr home page? I was watching it and was stopped in my tracks when an image of the Laundrette down the road from Dennis towers popped up - small world. Anyway, I had a fun week of doing some photo projects I've otherwise not been able to find time to do. There's no set name. I call them Flankers because it's easy. The IAF personnel call them whatever they feel like - Sukhoi, Thirty, Em-Kay-Eye. Also, HI! I haven't seen you around these parts in a while. Busy with real life?
