Thanks! Was a royal pain in the ass shooting from so close, though. Someday I will invest in quality long glass and camp a few miles from the runway so that I can get buttery-smooth but razor sharp panning shots.
Past the Fountain by Lance Welch, on Flickr I took this on sunday, its our local fish destroying Heron. I'd quite like to get a shot of him eating, but the ******* has already gone through all of our fish! Watchful Mother by Lance Welch, on Flickr Looking Grand by Lance Welch, on Flickr
Love this old bird. First built in the early 1960s, still in service and flying today. This particular airframe, dates to the late seventies though. Still, that's over thirty years hauling people and cargo!

I don't know why, but there is something so pleasing about this photo. For me, it emotes both calm and anxiety - on the one hand the sound of falling rain is such a soothing sound, but seeing the rain frozen in time here with the drops so crisp on the umbrella in dark muted colors gives me the impression of someone who doesn't want to be out in the cold rain. Nicely done!
Agree with supermonkey on this really love this shot! Any processing done? Think it would look lovely in a 4x5 crop or sqaure!
- One Ring to rule them all, one ring to.. :0 - No, no, no that's not this kind of ring, you silly scallywag ! D: - Are you sure ? : / - Indubitably. It's more like a ring to betroth them all. ( : - Oh, I see.
