^ Llyn Llydaw and Llandudno pier *pushes teeth back in*. Very nice, especially this weekend - yesterday was a scorcher up here.
We used to have Harriers, now we have F-35B's which are totally... something, something, bleh. Why replace a good thing? IMGP0875 by Neil, on Flickr IMGP0709 by Neil, on Flickr
Lovely scenery with the moo-cows, and nice planes too. I remember seeing a Harrier doing it's thing in an air show when I was about 4 or 5. In those days it used to hover very low not too far in front of the crowds and perform a "bow". Little-ol-me wasn't impressed at all with the din. Anyway, here's a couple from this afternoon. It was a beautiful day, a real scorcher, so I popped in to see a newish surfing place up the road (I must say it looks really impressive) and stopped in nearby Conwy on the way back. I only took half a dozen shots all day, but who says you can't shoot sports with a compact? (Well, sorta anyway.) There's some excellent photos here, it's taking me ages to page through 300 odd pages! Here's one I took on the iPhone today, grandkids and wifey, just a snappy snap but I just love the composition and colours.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/54209269@N08/26958798104/in/dateposted-public/ Can't get the pic to show - help? 14 years and still no idea....
In Flickr you can click the share icon (the swoopy arrow that points right) on the image. And select BBCode, and copy and paste that here. nick lexi cody bench yarm 9jun16 by ounce1966, on Flickr Edit: Hmm for some reason the code tags aren't escaping bbcode.
Nice IMGP1016 by Neil, on Flickr IMGP1051 by Neil, on Flickr Saw Bill Bailey on Friday. It was a fantastic show.
Cheers, it's a lovely spot. Nice Bill Bailey shots, very clean and punchy despite the low light. The Flying Scotsman was chooching around locally today so I nipped over to Holyhead station where it terminated, and took a few of snaps. Some nice shots in this page! Warren the Snowdon pools and Llandudno are great in particular of yours. Yadda those 2 of the FS are nice, looks like there were a few folks waiting! Had a trip up to the Scottish Highlands for a bit of a driving holiday last month, some absolutely gorgeous scenery up there! (Although I went for the roads, heaven!) Stayed in Applecross and had a rather spectacular sunset: Applecross Twighlight by HarvB, on Flickr And there was a bit of a wildfire near Durness in the heat, which gave a rather spectacular haze. Took a photo of a roll of Ilford FP4 for my 52 project. I processed it somewhat ironically using a Nik B&W film preset.
