Took a couple of rolls of film and this old fellow on my trip to Croatia. These are a few shots of the beach of Borik, near Zadar, on Velvia 50: It was the first roll of Velvia I've tried and I'm very impressed with the colors. The film is far more subtle than I had expected. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get the colors exactly right in my scans, but it's close enough. I'm still having a hard time composing in 6x6, really not used to it.
For the 2nd time this year I've had a photo make it into Flickr Explore. I'm very surprised by this one though as I honestly don't see anything special in it. I won't moan though! Lone Tree by Philip Veater, on Flickr
I visited the "Weeping Window" installation at Caernarfon Castle this afternoon. No Lightroom or PC at the moment so excuse the hasty editing.
Cheers. It's based on the larger installation at The Tower of London last year, where each ceramic poppy represented one fallen allied serviceman or woman. For this installation in Caernarfon Castle (significant because it houses the Royal Welch (Welsh) Fusiliers museum, an infantry regiment who fought extensively through both world wars), the poppies cascade onto the ground in the shape of the red dragon's claw, symbolising our national flag. When my PC is back up & running I'll post some more pictures which show this more clearly.
Looks good dude your rope work game is strong , I've tried a couple times but my rope game is weak lol. You've got a trusting face
Haha thanks. I'm sure it's the years of being in Scouts back in the day. Who knew it'd come in so handy
