Starting using my 35mm lens more, rather than lazily leaving the 40mm macro on the camera all the time. Darktable has a built-in correction for the distortion, and I'm getting pretty good at dialling in the chromatic aberration correction now. I've also got a new approach for sharpening, using the Gold-Meinel algorithm for a full-blend sharpen at 1:1 then a darken-only blend once it's been resized down to 4000x2660 (the resolution I save all my files at, for no particular reason).

Then *another* darken-only blend once I've sized it down for web below. Comes out nicely, I reckon!

    That keyboard...

Experience has taught me I can't live with anything smaller than a TKL for my daily driver but... I want that sooo much.

Neat, innit? Comes in three colour schemes, too - that's Original, there's Steam (looks a bit like a BBC Model B), and Navigator (blue). Connects to two Bluetooth devices, its own USB dongle, and USB Type-C wired simultaneously, and you can flip between any of the four connections on-demand using hotkeys.

Shame the company screwed the pooch on the Kickstarter: ended up selling it on Banggood for less money, with faster delivery, and published publicly-accessible spreadsheets with everyone's names, email addresses, and courier tracking numbers. Whoopsie!

Did some other product shots over the weekend, but couldn't show 'em off until today.

I took this photo while on a camping/ hiking/ photography trip, camping at a campsite near Robin Hoods Bay, near Whitby. This is one of the first photos I took with my new X-T3 and 16-80mm lens.

On the first afternoon there we went into Whitby and I took this shot around 5pm. It was freezing cold with a strong wind that made it feel that much colder!

Another photo from my Whitby trip, wish I was there now to be honest. Nothing better for the soul than dossing down for the night under the stars and waking up, opening your tent doors and being greeted with a stunning view!![IMG]

This was my pitch and tent, couldn't get a better view in my opinion:

A water drop collision shot, taken with my macro lens, a single off camera flash and an electronic water dropper. I love these types of shots, even if they are a pain in the arse to get the timings right! I've got thousands of collision shots, I use different liquids, liquids with Xantham gum, different lighting and different backgrounds, so each shot although the same subject is unique.

Thank you! My mates and I had a great weekend there, the north east coast is a brilliant place to spend some time with the camera.

Some lovely photos in here as ever, here's one of my favourites from watching the BTCC at Oulton Park last weekend, although there's so many in that set I can't really decide!

Trying to play catch-up on some photography, and this has been in the queue for a month at least. The to-do list never seems to get any smaller, tho'!
