Potato pic through glass, but it was very pretty and there was barely a ripple on the water - very smooth crossing.
Nothing special, but I might as well share it: As always, the cake^Wbokeh is a lie: the chip was shot with a 40mm macro at f/10 or something like it, and pretty much everything was sharp. I wanted the chip in the middle to stand out, though, so I used GIMP's Focus Blur on the Lens Blur setting and with a rectangular(!) aperture centred around the chip. It's also had a Wratten 81 warming filter over the top, 'cos the photography bench is right next to the window and my blue curtains ain't blackout curtains - so any sun and everything starts to look *very* cold...
It's another product photography day. Same as before: 40mm macro, f/10. Real bokeh this time, only edited to increase saturation and remove the dust that always ruins macro shots no matter how much you fire the rocket blower at the thing first. Oh, and a 3% Wratten '81, warm things up a little.
The mist had rolled in the other evening, and i managed to snap this shot of HMS Warrior. It's now on Flickr Explore too, for the 30th March. Misty Warrior by Sam Masters, on Flickr Sam
