Pentax K-X, Sigma 18-50 f2.8 EX DC
It's been raining on and off here all day.
It has it's good and bad points. Don't expect anything to happen in a hurry and if you're visiting, do it out of season when there are less tourists. Also, bring a raincoat.
This is on the North face of what is known as Helsby hill. Camera used was a somewhat small budget SLR, the Olympus E-420 I just take out for tooling around, but I took off the 25mm Pancake and used a Zuiko 12-60mm F2.8-4 SWD for this shot. Usually this is the main lens for my E-3.
Here is a Macro shot I took with the E-3 but with a Zuiko 50mm 1:2.0 Macro.
Because of the low light (its the Nuclear Bunker museum) and the fact that corridor was so dim and the fact that Olympus four thirds isn't synonomous with great performance at high ISO, it came out with lots of noise. I managed to break this down, but in the end had to throw fuzz (film grain like) to balance everything out.
Gulls look spectacular.
Eastern Phoebe--one of my favorites
Storm to the future
Based on the promotional movie poster for Back to the Future by Drew Struzan, with an out of work extra from some film or other taking on the role of Marty.

Finally convinced my girlfriend to go out for a photoshoot today
Of course, I did realise afterwards that the vast majority of the shots were all practically the same thing with different backgrounds, but that doesn't really matter in my eyes And she was fair pleased, so I win all around!
Snapped a shot of this crazy little red squirrel while we wandering around the woods as well. A bountiful photo day over all!
The rest of my work can be found here as per usual
