Had a day out in Liverpool with ajack, olv and ST8 on Sunday (with cyKey acting as guide), visiting the Albert Docks and Greenland Street. I had a great day, and here are some of the results. :)

I'm sure there are a few other decent ones that I've forgotten to upload but that's the first batch, and I'd appreciate any criticism of them that people can offer. :thumb:

Some great shots there - looks like you guys had a good day!

I love the HDR ones - they are so often over done, but these are just right. Also really like the red by the river one.

    Some nice work there.

I particularly like the top-right (bench with house in background) and the 3rd middle (shore/sky with rocks in foreground).

The bench photo is nice and sharp and has wonderful tones throughout. I also like the way the lighting on the brick in the background mimicks the slats in the wood. I don't know if that was intentional, but well spotted.

The sea/skyscape with the rocks in the foreground has great color, nice lines and a good, dramatic sky. Was there any HDR involved, or is this more or less the exposure you got?

Thanks trigger, it was fun to try somewhere different!

Not intentional at all, but I'm happy with the photo. :)

Yup HDR was used for the two particularly vibrant photos in that set, the colour in the originals was good but using Photomatix brought it out a lot more.

Yer the HDR shots are very nice, colours are awesome. Really like #1 just cos I wouldn't have thought the subject could be made that interesting, nice angle. #6 is cool just because of the simplicity.

Who is the stud in #8? ;)

i was gonna say "who's the **** with the camera?" but it appears he's already identified himself.

the sunset shots are really nice, although i would clone the individual out of the last one. i echo jack (the ****)'s comments on the unique angles although i have to say i don't think it works in the shot with the chairs and the window.

#6 would be nice without the rope, i like the simplicity of it though.
#2 is my favourite but the horizon is wonky :)

good set though, hope they give permission for the installation, i think they are my favourite of yours.

Was the last one of the lake taken in liverpool? or was it taken on the wirral in westkirby, It looks so much like the marine lake its unreal?

    EDIT,

After studying the picture, its 100% got to be the marine lake in west kirby, as you can see little eye. :thumb:
