Photos [Photos] Macros Of A Bunch Of Flowers

    I took these this afternoon using my kit lens and a full set of Jessops extension tubes (13, 21, 33mm). Lens set on manual focus, around the 50mm mark, hand held and with no flash.

    I'm very much on a learning curve as I've only really been taking pictures since Feb, and so these don't represent the pinacle of macro perfection. But I was pleased with the results overall - although I need to practice adjusting the aperture to maybe slightly increase DOF in some instances. Also getting the focus right on things this small is a really hard task and difficult to spot it being wrong at the time.

    I really can't help the thought that the last pic looks like certain lady-parts.

    The DOF is rather shallow. You may want to consider a reversing ring.

    The focal points are a little off too - it's especially noticeable in the 4th pic of the stamens.
