ok it isnt that bad... its this one, but not that psu and not that small fan.. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/cit-shadow-black-value-mid-tower-case-with-500w-psu-120mm-quiet-fan-atx-mesh-design
sorry its a little late but i got a pic of the inside of the wife's (my old) PC I MUST WARN YOU ITS BAD, IT ONLY LOOKS BETTER THAN IT WAS AS I MANAGED TO STUFF THE CABLES INTO THE SPARE DRIVE BAYS!
yeah that's pretty bad t4n6o. reminds me of when i first build my rig in my old Antec 900. the case HAS openings in the MB tray for wire management, but it does NOT like you using them (literally 1cm of clearance between tray and back panel). not to mention the IDE drive and those stupid antec pass-through MOLEX fan adapters. Let us all rejoice in how far we've come. @ debs: what do you do with all that space? host golf competitions in your PC? @wuyanxu: I feel like not going with the triple fan push-pull config on that heat sink is a missed opportunity. not that the rig in your sig needs a ton of cooling, I could never resist the temptation to do that.
Hey, that's a great idea! How much do you think I should charge for a round? The case will be hosting an SR-X later this year, which, among other things, will be used as a file server with loads of drives. The SR-X is much larger (same as an SR-2, which the case was designed for). There is room for 2 x 480 mm rads in the bottom plus 2 PSUs (with an expander that I bought with the case). It also has room for a 480 in the top. Although I currently use a chiller, this case can be made semi-portable with those rads so will survive anything I throw at it (unless it's heavy enough to dent the case!). With the SR-X, I hope to eventually use a couple of RAID cards so I can host a couple of dozen storage drives, with the OS and apps using SSDs connected to the onboard SAS controller. It will also, eventually, have 4 graphics cards (I haven't decided yet if they will be dual-GPU) for folding. I have now ordered power cable extenders (20/24 pin, 8 pin and 4 pin) so by the weekend the cables will look neater. I'll be fully modding the cables for the PSU I will use with the SR-X (by which time I will be buying a more suitable case for the current system it hosts). Then I'll be skint for a year or two (I've already built 3 new systems in the last 5 months, the SR-X will make it 4 in under a year!). Of course, that doesn't include systems I'm building for benching older hardware
LOL, most of it is being paid for by selling a CPU collection that I have built up over 6/7 years. The money will run out soon It helps being commited to remaining single - not many partners could cope with some of my hobby choices
can't, i'm not allowed anywhere near the internals as she keeps on saying that things never wok when you've had your hands on em - she wont even let me OC it for her
Time to update photos of my rig. I swapped out stock fans for some Deltas a few months ago. Noise increase and maybe a few degrees cooler but thats about it and I can live with it. I also dusted out my system. Using a high powered air blower. Though I didn't go mental with it. GPU is dust free for awhile anyway. Front Side The Sexy Bits, I know my cabling doesnt look great but airflow is still good. I would like to get some sexy braided cabling but money is the main issue right now. GPU Goodness - Running stock but will do 580 specs with very little increase in temprature xD Sexy Corsair HX 750 PSU and back/roof fans. I also have a Delta as front intake and using stock fan on side panel.
Colour me confused. Why is a picture of your(admittedly delicious looking) breakfast in the computer pics thread?
Fresh bread, fresh eggs from the Gower coast...it was smashing...thought it would make a nice change! PC pic is next. Better (Completed ) ones to be posted tomorrow.
