That tubing on the left looks like it might actually be alarmingly close to kinking on you. Issues with the tubing twisting when you were putting it all together?

The tube coming out of the GPU block?

Yeah it is frightening close actually I think it looks quite bad in that picture because your looking at it straight on, but its fine, temps are good and there is so much head pressure and pumping force with the D5 pump it doesn't appear to be a problem, although I am going to swap the res out to a different one I have and move the whole lot down, so that should completely fix that issue :)

Good to hear it, I've gotten oh-so-tired of tubing kinking when it shouldn't. Makes me wonder if it wouldn't've just been easier to use barbs and clamps sometimes.

You mean instead of compression fittings?

To my mind I might actually end up going to barbs instead of compression fittings as it would make it much easier to do some of the awkward turns that I need to with this setup.

I will be going back to barb's when I next strip my loop, as that is why some of the tubes are longer than they need to be as if I make them just the right length they start to kink.

Either that or start using a metal pipe.

That is some really nice work, silver soldered joints on the copper fittings. Most likely cheaper than picking up branded wc fittings!! Plus loads of cable ties!!

Now that is the type of thing I was talking about.

Can I ask did you just go and buy some normal copper pipe for household heating/water, or was it specific for use inside a pc?

Also how long did it take you to build it all up?

That has just made my mind up about doing it some time for my pc.

That stuff looks like copper fittings to me, can be picked up from Wickes/B&Q/Screwfix as well as Plumb Center.

I using silver solder to join all connections will stil cause oxidisation inside the fittings so a very good clean will be needed else you'd end up with black dust inside the cooling liquid and could cause issues with flow and pump could seize.

Plus to solder those joints the heat isn't going to be too high so nice and simple to make.

If you did buy it; that frio would laugh at the heat all the same. Those things are crazy enough with the normal fans, let alone strapping a Gentle Typhoon to one!
