Software Photoshop CS2 - make a new layer for each new element?

ARGH! It seems Photoshop doesn't want to automatically make a new layer every time I make a new line or physical element :( So to delete something I have to go back through the history or do it the time consuming method and manually add a new layer every time :(

Anyone know where the option is I'm after?

Which mode are you in? This one gives me a new layer with every new object.

I havn't found an option like that myself, your best bet would be to get used to Shift+Ctrl+N. :dremel:
