Software Photoshop question

If i have an image with wire mesh in it, is there a way to remove the mesh and clone what is behind it so that it looks like the mesh is not there.

That would take some pretty fancy photoshop skills I imagine.

 

As Callum said, with that particular photo it would take some doing, but there are ways of reducing the visibility when taking the shot. Try dropping the f-stop (I noticed that shot's at f/10, try increasing the aperture to f/4 or higher if possible) and the visibility will decrease. Getting closer to the fence would probably help too.

The above should work fairly well - I took a few photos through a similar wire fence a few months ago and the bars were barely visible using an 85mm lens at f/1.8.

 

you tell me that now, (6 months after going to monkey world and living about 400miles from it! )

so there is no like auto clone plugin that will try and heal the areas?

 

(oh and how do you increase the speeds of the aperture on a canon 350D? -- will it have much effect on any other shots? or would i need to keep changing it?)

Like both have said.
1) Whilst it might be possible to clone out, it'll take some doing and probably wouldn't be that convincing.
2) Open your aperture to max when shooting through to throw the fence OOF.

Here's some shots I took at London Zoo with wider apertures through tight-nit fencing (<1"). It's not noticable on the subject but the bokeh (background blur) looks a bit weird:
