I'm making a thing in php to manage a cluster (run jobs, and give a general status of the thing). and what I want to do is run a command (using shell_exec(), unless something later in this topic says other wise), and have it so I can echo something when the program says something..

so when the program echos "sauce" the php script notices (using strstr() or something else) and echos "the program said sauce!" in realtime

    is that possible?
