Motors Pimp my ride is coming to the UK

for all you car people out there...

if you havent already heard... the popular car modding show "Pimp my ride" is comming to the UK.. read it in the latest edition of Max Power.. here is a little bit extraced from the page:

they havent decided on who will present the show but they have said that it wont be Xzibit..

IMO i would like to see how it goes.. as there are different laws between the 2 countries...

 

I can't stand Pimp my Ride! But anyway, my mate was telling me about the UK version the other day, apparently Tim Westwood is hosting it so it'll probably be even worse than the US version!

 

worst program ever. its crap. why the hell do they put 5 tv's in a car? you're not going to watch TV while driving and then you're not going to get somewhere and sit in the car and watch TV. utter utter crap

 

The US version is watchable, if only they would get rid of Xibit (sp!) as the host and spend more time showing how they actually do the mods. The UK version will suck for several reasons:
> Boy / chav racers
> Westwood
> Lack of decent cars in the UK.

 

I can't stand it either but nothing can be worse than the U.S. version

 

yer i agree the US version is watchable.. but IMO i like it for some reason... its something that you dont see everyday..

but the thing that i dont really get is that our vehicle laws are different.. as we have to have MOT's, are insurance is set up different and are road laws are different...

if they put a guy on the show who is totally poor and "pimp" his car out its gonna cost him loads i think for insurance and what not..

but i like the show for the stuff they do to cars.. but some of the stuff they do is kinda repedative.. like Chrome here, Chrome there.. Chrome every where.. dont get me wrong i like chrome but to much is just bad!!

but i think i will try and catch the 1st show then ever it comes out is see if its any good...

I say head for the hills. The mods they do are just styling and IMHO look very ricerish.

Bad show I wish they would cancel it.

Lol i heard the mustang that got pimped in one of the first few eps was stolen a week after the show aired.

 

I doubt there will be lot of chavs/boy racers on it. Think about it, they choose dead/beatup cars in the american series, chavs novas/whatever are already 'pimped' (so they think!) so why wou PmR choose them over a trashheap car?

Westwood. Please god no.

Lack of good cars, maybe, though I can bet there will be some surprises!

Can someone explain to me what is up with tim westwood?

I`ve heard him on the radio and I thought he was black. Then see him on the advert and on tv and he`s a white bloke who looks like he went to public school. Everytime I listen now I cant help but ffeel taht he must be taking the piss. Also i wan to know why none of the guests who he has on the radio show havent beaten the poop out of him?

He may sound a **** but what he and a few other's acomplished back in the late 80's with the london sound systems changed an entire generation.

The only vehicle that they should do. Ever.

 

The Mustang in the US was the best car they ever did. It was more of a restoration rather than a pimp car. Shame it got stolen it looked ace.
