So I get back from my lunch break, and there's a dog in the office. Not home office, not small business office, Suite 1600 of a 3 story building office. Neeless to say, this was more shocking than the missing coffeemaker.

Apparently a co-worker found the dog roaming the street, and decided to pick it up so it wouldn't get hurt. Then she grabbed the coffemaker and took it to a meeting. I'm feeding the dog coffee beans as we speak, to see if it was an even exchange, but I won't hold my breath.

In the absence of a leash, she tethered the dog to a desk using a twisted pair Cat 5e cable, with RJ45 connectors. I'm going to plug him in to the switch and see what kind of ping rate he's running, and as soon as we contact its owner, I'll see about finding some SSH passwords so I can make sure he's doing alright.

So have you rescued a dog or are you just being 'funny'?

Perhaps if you feed the dog enough coffee beans, he'll produce spam.

    No, wait...
