Usually that kind of flaws in the paint job are only visible in pictures taken with flash. In notmal lighting that might seem just fine.

I don't know why but I'm lolling a bit here with the assembling-pics :p Pics seem to be straight from some "how to assemble a pc"-book :)

I just wanted lots of pictures of myself, and, like, photographic evidence of me putting it together. Plus, I fully intend on using these to make all kinds of icons of myself holding motherboards and stuff.

Perhaps I will make my own book; I could sell it to tween girls and make millions!

Okay, so I have successfully installed Kubuntu onto my new box. I booted with System Rescue CD first to wipe the drive because it was my younger sister's old drive and who knows what could be on there. Then I had no problem installing Kubuntu with the dvd I burned from the iso. It looks so pretty! I named the computer Comet, the name of Supergirl's horse.

I set the new box up to use a KVM so it's working fine sharing the keyboard and monitor with my Windows box, but I did have some trouble with the mouse, so I just have two different mice plugged in for now, and I'll look into that later.

Now, it seems, is the challenging part! I am working through the documentation and wikis and things to learn about the OS so that I can, like, install things and do things with it.

Here's a collage style picture I made for the computer. I'll take a couple more detail shots later. Everything looks so pretty, I can't wait to scrapbook these computer building photos...

and here's a screenshot for my Kubuntu desktop on my new machine. I was pleasantly surprised when I pressed print screen and a little box popped up, allowing me to save the screenshot as a png!

I didn't mean because I thought it couldn't be pink, I meant more the practical aspect of painting the power buttons

Usually you need to take the face plate off to pop of the power button. I think you should paint it to make the colortheme perfect.

A girl on the Interweb? NO WAY! I don't believe.

Pretty spiffy job though. Come to think of it, I should build myself a pink SFF.
